The serial F-106 were powered by a Pratt-Whitney J75-17 afterburning turbojet engine and used the Hughes MA-1 Fire Control System. F-106s were stationed mainly in the United States; only a small number of them went to bases in Germany and South Korea. Two versions were created: \"A\", that is the hunting version, and \"B\", the training version, for two places.
