Serial production was carried out in 1941-1942. Approximately 2,500 trucks of this particular type were created during the project. The weight of the car was 3.85 tons, its length was 5.1 m, with a width of 2.3 m and a height of 2.7 meters. The operating range was 450 kilometers, and the maximum speed on the road did not exceed 70 km / h.

The Fordson WOT-8 was developed during World War II as a member of a family of trucks intended for the British Army. Interestingly, the WOT vehicles were designed from the beginning as cars intended for the armed forces, and their production took place at the Ford plant in Dagenham, hence the term Fordson. The WOT-8 truck was characterised by all-wheel drive (4x4) and a load capacity of up to 1500 kg. Vehicles of this type were used by the British Army mainly during the fighting in North Africa (1940-1943) and to a lesser extent during the Italian campaign (1943-1945) as artillery tractors.

It is also worth adding that as part of the aid for the USSR, about 870 WOT-8 vehicles were sent to this country, of which approximately 730 were delivered to their destination. In the Soviet Union, they were used, among other things, as a platform for the Katyusha unguided missile system.

["Brand_Revell","Category_Armour / Military","Type_Trucks & Transport","Type_Wheeled AFVs
"option1":"Default Title","option2":null,"option3":null
["Default Title
["//jixhobbies.co.za/cdn/shop/files/Revell---1-35-W-O-T--8-BM-13-16-Katyusha-Cargo.jpg?v=1765552364
//jixhobbies.co.za/cdn/shop/files/Revell---1-35-W-O-T--8-BM-13-16-Katyusha-Cargo.jpg?v=1765552364
Title

1/35 W.O.T. 8 BM-13-16 Katyusha/Cargo

Revell 03338

Excludes all glues, paints and tools necessary to assemble.

The Fordson WOT-8 is a British military truck from World War II.
