The game is faction-free, allowing teams to be formed by any combination without restrictions. At the start of each turn, the active player will check to see if they score victory points for completing challenges. Challenges are objectives that come out each round that progressively get more valuable over time. Next, the player will take three actions, one for each core of magic, from either cards in your hand or basic actions print on a player’s tableau. Once all cores are exhausted, the active player will discard their hand, draw 5 cards, and replenish their cores. After each player has taken their turn, the round is over, and a new challenge comes out and progresses the existing unachieved challenges down the challenge
