The prototype flight took place in 1984. Three years later, the machine entered the line in the Brazilian Air Force and remains in it today. In total, about 200 examples of this aircraft were built. The drive is provided by a single motor Rolls-Royce Spey turbojet . The plane's top speed is 950 km / h, and the maximum range is 3,300 kilometers. The deck armament is a single 20mm M61A1 cannon or a 30mm Bernardini Mk.164 cannon.

The AMX machine was originally built at the Aermacchi plant as a successor to the MB-340 and MB-326 aircraft. However, the Brazilian side also joined in the course of work, forming the AMX International consortium with an Italian partner. The resulting AMX aircraft is capable of operating day and night, and in all weather conditions. It is also able to operate from damaged air lanes, using incomplete airport infrastructure. It is also characterized by a long overall durability of the structure. The machine is used in the Italian Air Force under the designation AMX A-11 Ghibli, and in Brazil under the designation AMX A-1. There were also three main variants of this aircraft: AMX-T (training version), AMX-ATA (improved training version with limited combat capabilities) and AMX-R (reconnaissance version). Currently, Brazil and Italy are the main operators of this type of aircraft.

["Brand_Kinetic","Category_Aircraft","Scale_1/48 Scale","Type_Military Jets
"option1":"Default Title","option2":null,"option3":null
["Default Title
["//jixhobbies.co.za/cdn/shop/files/Kinetic---1-48-AMX-Ground-Attack-Aircraft---Brazil---Italy.jpg?v=1725519846
//jixhobbies.co.za/cdn/shop/files/Kinetic---1-48-AMX-Ground-Attack-Aircraft---Brazil---Italy.jpg?v=1725519846
Title
//jixhobbies.co.za/cdn/shop/files/Kinetic---1-48-AMX-Ground-Attack-Aircraft---Brazil---Italy.jpg?v=1725519846
//jixhobbies.co.za/cdn/shop/files/Kinetic---1-48-AMX-Ground-Attack-Aircraft---Brazil---Italy.jpg?v=1725519846

1/48 AMX Ground Attack Aircraft - Brazil & Italy

Kinetic K48026

Excludes all glues, paints and tools necessary to assemble.

The AMX International AMX (another designation: A-11 Ghibli or A-1) is a modern Italian-Brazilian light attack aircraft jet.
