The deck armament was to consist, probably, of: 10 105mm cannons, 10 37mm cannons and 24 20mm cannons. The air group was supposed to include 10 Me-109 fighters and 10 Ju-87 bombers in versions adapted to operate from aircraft carriers.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThe Weser was originally built and was 95% completed as the Admiral Hipper-class Seydlitz heavy battleship. However, shortly after the outbreak of World War II, work on the almost finished project was stopped. The work was interrupted until 1942, when it was decided to convert Seydlitz into an aircraft carrier, and the work was commissioned to the shipyard in today's Królewiec. However, due to the clear priority given to the production of U-boats and the growing problems with the supply of various raw materials and components, the unit was not completed until the end of the war. The Weser was sunk in April 1945 at the gates of the Królewiec port.
