However, too heavy and too slow, the Bf-110 suffered considerable losses in the Battle of Britain, which meant that it was systematically moved to the Reich Defense units as a night fighter, which eventually led to the creation of the G and H versions. They were used as night fighters and interceptors against allied bombing expeditions. In combination with the on-board radar (eg FuG 202 or FuG220), the Bf-110 became a very formidable enemy for British bombers.
