Dive into the Tournament:

Prepare for an electrifying event where you and your friend, family member, or partner will team up to create a formidable duo.

To enter this unique twist in Unmatched competition, you and your partner must assemble three Heroes and their sidekick(s) from any Unmatched set. This promises to deliver epic battles and a chance to showcase your prowess in the world of duelling.

To ensure your participation in the tournament, it's imperative that you enter and register as a team (you and a partner). Failure to do so may result in your inability to compete for you might not have a partner or an opponent. The team format is also highly dependent on how many entries we get, thus we highly recommend that you sign up as a duo.

A basic understanding of the game and your own hero miniatures and sidekicks from the game is essential. If you don't have the game but want to join the fun, feel free to reach out to us, as we might be able to arrange heroes for you.

 Tournament Format:

• Unique Fighter Line-Up: Each participant must select a distinctive line-up of two different heroes/fighters from any presently available Unmatched set. Your line-up can include a maximum of one ranged hero or sidekick. If you do not own any Unmatched sets, please contact us for we do have a few extra heroes/sidekicks available.
• Banned Heroes: The following heroes are prohibited from being used in the tournament and cannot be included in your line-up:
  • Electra
  • Sherlock
  • Medusa
  • Genie
  • Yennenga
• Team Play: You'll need to form a two-person team to participate in the tournament. While you'll work together, the games will be 1vs1. The points earned by each team member during a game will be combined to determine your team's overall score. You'll win or lose individual games, but your team will emerge victorious or face defeat together in the tournament.  The team format is highly dependent on how many entries we get, thus we highly recommend that you sign up as a duo.
• Rounds: The tournament will consist of 3 or 4 rounds, depending on the number of participants. Each round will feature two 1vs1 games against the different opponents of the same team, with team match-ups changing each round. A round will last for 60 minutes, and each game within a round will be 30 minutes. There will be a lunch break in between rounds.
• Gameplay & Set-Up for a Round:
  1. Determine Player A and Player B through an agreed-upon method (e.g., rolling a die, flipping a coin, mutual agreement).
  2. Both players reveal their two-hero line-up.
  3. Ban a fighter through a blind pick (where both players simultaneously declare their bans to each other).
  4. Decide which map you'll use (which side of the board) through an agreed-upon method.
  5. Both players make blind picks for their game, ensuring that the same fighters are not matched against each other if they both have them.
  6. Play the game following the official Unmatched rules.
  7. At the end of each game, players must report the winner, loser, and the health difference of their hero.

Make sure to arrive at Jix Hobbies at least 30 minutes before the tournament's scheduled 10:00 AM start time.

This event marks the sixth Unmatched Tournament hosted by Jix Hobbies, in collaboration with Solarpop Go Play. Our previous tournaments were a massive hit, drawing players eager to test their skills and engage in thrilling battles.

What is Unmatched?

Unmatched is a miniatures duelling game brought to you by IELLO, Restoration Games, and Mondo Games.

It brings together fighters from all walks of life, from legends to characters from the silver screen. Each hero possesses a unique deck of cards that aligns with their fighting style, and they come with their own trusty sidekicks.

The beauty of Unmatched lies in your ability to mix and match fighters from any Unmatched set, creating epic showdowns where only one can emerge victorious.
